A 6 week online course taught live on Zoom

  • EMP is the Sunset Pain School signature course. It is foundational for a transformation for those who live with pain and aim to more gracefully self-manage their condition. One must move regularly, and re-introduce meaningful activities as a means to eliminate pain. EMP teaches techniques to skillfully incorporate short daily movement in a way that is safe yet powerful, putting you firmly on your healing path. Classes are taught live weekly and the course includes a one-on-one session to personalize all practices. By the end of the course students will know how to safely move through days of high stress, low energy and flare-ups.

Pain Science Personalized

12 week course to create an individualized mind/body program for pain reduction

  • Learn powerful principles of pain science and how to apply them to your unique experience. This is a high touch course including 1:1 training for patients of chronic pain who seek to optimize somatic coping skills. We teach formulas to transform one’s relationship to pain through proven mind/body techniques proven. Applied individualized modifications allows students to have a transformation in their confidence and ability to be be true self-managers. This approach leads with the knowledge that pain is most successfully managed as “a sum of all parts.” A mentorship of 3 or 6 months is offered at the close of this program.

  • This course uses health coaching systems to identify and support students through healthy lifestyle changes to reduce pain. Based on the values and goals of the individual we address some if not all of the following topics: stress, sleep, physical activity, dysfunctional behaviors affecting pain, nutrition & weight loss. Incremental goal setting for sustainable behavior change, education, positive psychology and accountability all contribute to the shift one can expect from this course. 12 weeks is ample time to make a shift, but in addition monthly coaching is available for up to 1 year in efforts to sustain behavioral changes.

12 week course for healthy habits and less pain

A support group through Integrative therapies: art therapy, yoga therapy and space to process the experience of pain

Tools & Resources for building more self compassion and wellness routines. Each group will include summaries of themes and practices emailed weekly, with optional take-home practices to go deeper if desired

Guided practices to promote self trust and body awareness, an opportunity to harness your innate capacity for motivation and accountability
